The clinic is conveniently located at 849 85th Street SW in Calgary, Alberta in the upscale neighborhood of West Springs. The clinic is directly across from the TD Bank on 85th Street. Please use the 85th St facing entrance. There is parking available behind and beside the West Pointe Townhome Condominiums.

There is an abundance of free parking available in the designated visitor parking areas behind the West Pointe Townhome Condominiums. There is no parking available on 85th Street SW. 

•  AVOID consuming alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment (alcohol may thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising).  
   
• Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, if possible, for a period of 2 weeks before treatment. Medications and supplements such as aspirin, vitamin E. ginkgo biloba. ginseng, St. John's Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve and other NSAIDS have a blood thinning effect and can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections.  
   
• Schedule your appointment at least two weeks prior to any special events to ensure optimal results. Also bruising and swelling may be apparent during that time period.  
   
• Discontinue Retin-A, Stieva-A two days before and two days after treatment.
   
• Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you have a rash, cold sore or blemish on the area.  
   
• If you have a history of cold sores please let your provider know, they may put you on an anti-viral medication prior to treatment.  
   
• Be sure to have a good breakfast, including food and drink before your procedure. This will decrease the chances of light-headedness during your treatment.  
   
• You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.  

Consultations are are essential prior to receiving any treatment. The first appointment is always longer (up to one hour), to ensure that your questions and concerns are fully addressed. You will never be pressured into any treatment at our clinic. The Nurse Practitioner will review your health history, medications, and treatment goals. She will work with you to analyze the areas of concern and discuss an ideal treatment outcome before proceeding with any procedure.

Generally speaking, neuromodulator injections take only about 10-15 minutes on average, depending on the number of treatment areas selected.

It can take up to two weeks to see full results from your Xeomin®, Botox®, or Dysport® treatment.

Injections can cause small amounts of swelling, a temporary bump, redness, bruising, a mild to moderate headache, and sensations such as tingling or mild itching after the treatments. These effects are so common they can be considered a normal part of the process. The initial effects will show in the first 2-5 days. Peak effect on the muscle is at 14 days, but the result will continue to improve for 4 weeks or more. The benefits start to wear off after 3-4 months on average. 

• Do NOT manipulate the treated area for 3 hours following treatment. DO NOT receive facial/ laser treatments or microdermabrasion after neuromodulator injections for at least 2 weeks. Ask your provider if you are not sure about the time frame of certain services.   
   
• Do NOT lie down for at least 4 hours after your treatment.   
   
• If the desired result is not seen after 2 weeks of your treatment you may need a follow up appointment to touch up certain areas.   
   
• Do NOT perform activities involving straining, heavy lifting, or vigorous exercise for the remainder of the day after your neuromodulator injection. This will keep the Xeomin®, Botox®, Dysport® from migrating outside of the intended injection area.   
   
• Do small extra contractions of the muscles treated every 20 minutes for the first hour.
   
• When cleansing, avoid pressure and use gentle strokes away from the eyes.
   
• Avoid facial massages or electrical stimulation of the face for the next 2 weeks.  
   
• Avoid wearing tight caps or garments in the area that has been injected.  
   
• Do not apply make-up for approximately 6 hours unless it is mineral based.  
   
• Wash your hands immediately post procedure.  
   
• Do not touch your face in the areas injected for 6 hours.

All treatments offered at Rewind and Renew Medical Aesthetics are elective/cosmetic and therefore, we do not work with any insurance companies, or complete any insurance-related documentation. Our treatments are not covered by Alberta Health. 

At Rewind and Renew Medical Aesthetics, we believe in providing personalized care from the start. That's why our Nurse Practitioner offers complimentary consultations with no consultation fee. During your visit, we will take the time to understand your goals and recommend the best treatments tailored specifically to you—at no cost. 

If you fail to attend your scheduled appointment and do not provide at least 24 hours' notice of cancellation or rescheduling, a no-show fee of $50 will be charged. This fee covers the costs associated with the missed appointment and the time reserved for the service provider. Clients with a history of no-shows or late cancellations may be required to prepay for future appointments or may be subject to additional booking restrictions.

We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we will make exceptions to these policies on a case-by-case basis. If you have experienced an emergency or extenuating circumstance that prevents you from attending your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your situation.
