Therapeutic Injectables

TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Disorders) Treatment

The temporomandibular joint is located on both of sides of the head where the jawbone meets the skull. The TMJ is used during everyday activities such as eating and talking. The joint can become inflamed or overworked with teeth grinding or jaw clenching, which can result in tension headaches and pain in the jaw. Neuromodulators can help relieve jaw tension and provide a great deal of relief. Improvement can become noticeable in about one week.

Hyperhidrosis (Sweat Reduction) Treatment

Hyperhidrosis can be caused by genetic predisposition, menopause, thyroid conditions, medication side effects, anxiety, or certain neurological conditions. Excessive sweating can significantly impact your quality of life. You may choose to stay inside during the summer months, limit clothing options for fear of sweating through your clothing or prevent you from participating in certain activities. Neuromodulator injections are a popular and effective method to treat hyperhidrosis. By injecting the botulism toxin directly into the affected areas, the sweat glands become inhibited, thereby temporarily relieving symptoms.

Trap tox

TrapTox is a medical procedure involving the injection of neurotoxin into the trapezius muscle to  relax the muscle and relieve chronic tension in the shoulders. Botulinum toxin type A is injected into the slope of the neck and just before the shoulder. This application falls under the category of off-label uses for botulinum toxin type A, with no specific studies conducted or reviewed for this particular use. While off-label, the procedure is considered safe and is being utilized globally. The amount of toxin administered is determined by the size and bulk of the patient's trap muscle, ranging from 20 to 25 units per side for an average muscle and potentially up to 50 units per side for a larger muscle.
